Inspection on 6 Oct 2009 starts early in the morning. The cadets will be looked at as they come off the buses, etc. First and Second period – drill on the matrix given. Inspector is allowed to pick anyone. All classes will be observed. Cadets come to hangar during lunches – Booster Club to provide pizza, drinks and cookies. Third period will present a briefing on the goals; Mission briefing – Matt Hitchcock is in charge of this. Inspector will look through all the books and records. Debriefing after 2:00 pm with with Mr. Key and Dr. Ackley.
Concern was raised that the cadets are not taking this seriously. The Top Four, and Matt especially, will make it serious to all flights.
Sgt. Smith Report
Uniforms are coming along.
NC State Fair Military Appreciation Day 21 Oct 09 – Riverside has been invited to participate. Only ten schools have been invited. Non-competitive drill competition. Will use the matrix being worked on for Clemson. We will take six different teams, including Color Guard. Cadets will miss fourth period. We would like to be first so the cadets can enjoy the fair. Back to school between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.
Major Bailey Report
JROTC Picture Day changed to 29 Sep 09 so it doesn’t conflict with inspection. Parents to help at Open House. Went over calendar.
Leah tried to keep the meeting down to one hour – missed by nine minutes.
