Wreaths Across America: Remember - Honor - and Teach
Thank you to all who signed up to participate in Wreaths Across America this Saturday, 12 December,
If you did not sign up yet, it's not too late. We are happy for you to join us. We want to have a good showing from our Corps and this is a great service opportunity.
The local organizers are thrilled to have us participate for the third year in a row. We will start laying the wreaths at 9:30 a.m. at the Raleigh National Cemetery. We will help set up for the ceremony after the wreaths are laid. Music will start at 11:00 a.m. and the ceremony starts at 12:00 noon. Sanderson AFJROTC will present the colors. This ceremony will be held concurrently across the United States at 12:00 noon EST.
We need parents to help carpool. We don't have a full count yet but need at least 4 drivers.
Please give Christie Hitchcock a call in the evenings at 309-4701 if you can drive. You can also e-mail her at scoutmomx2@earthlink.net.
We'll meet at 8:00 a.m. at Riverside (parking lot by the hangar) and caravan to the cemetery.
We will not wear uniforms, but if you have an RHS AFJROTC sweatshirt or hoodie, please wear that.
Directions:The cemetery is located in the southeast section of Raleigh.
